Hey heathens!!
If you're not in church, why aren't you cranking up the Dead?

Here's a 1971 that I'll bet you haven't heard. Neither had I until last night and it blew me away. Hot, hot playing by Garcia on every song. And a crisp bright SBD too!!! A++
Wait till the Other One>Wharf Rat. Quite a trip.
cheers,
Dr. Flashback :-)

PS - yes the link is mis-named but don't worry, the show really IS 4/12. all the files will stream as 4/12.

I have said this before, but 8-6-71 is an outstanding show. GDlive has it. If you don't go for the 'cowboy tunes' (not that you don't, just that others have expressed this sentiment), I challenge (in a nice way) you to listen to the Other One-->Me and my Uncle transition and not be a fan for life...

April is great, as is December, but August was amazing.

Actually, I AM at the church of the Dead right now. Listening to 10-30-73 per your suggestion. Thanks!

I was just listening to 4-12-78, Duke Univ. It takes them awhile to get the sound right but when they do, it is a very smooth jammin' ride all the way around.

I come back to this show quite often to mellow out.

Dude!
Sometimes you DO rock!
I never would have of thought of this one!
Solid guitar work on this Truckin!
Too bad the Hard to handle cuts during a tremendous Phil fueled jam.
